Val.: «La llei de l’embut (lo ample per a mi, lo estret per a tu)»
Es diu «llei de l’embut» a la situació de desigualtat entre dos grups humans, en què u goja de privilegis i beneficis que l’altre no pot tindre. Se sol dir quan els poderosos imposen una norma injusta que els beneficia o que ells mateixos es permeten no complir. La desigualtat es fa palesa en l’únic «manament» d’eixa «llei»: «lo ample per a mi, lo estret per a tu», en referència a la forma d’un embut. Uns s’emporten la part important dels beneficis i els altres només una xicoteta part.

We call the «law of the funnel» (llei de l’embut) a situation of inequality between two human groups, in which one of the two enjoys privileges whereas the other bears the brunt. For instance, when the powerful impose unfair rules that benefits them or that they themselves don’t comply with. The disadvantage is explained by means of the only commandment of this ‘law’: «the wide part is for me, the narrow part is for you». In other words, I take the big part of the benefits, whereas you just receive a small amount.
